A pre printed 3′ x 2′ Failure Mode & effect Analysis (FMEA) whiteboard. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a technique used in companies to improve production quality and productivity. It is a method that evaluates possible failures in the system, design, process, or service. It aims to continuously improve and decrease the kinds of failure modes. In the FMEA method, every failure mode in the system is analyzed according to severity, occurrence, and detection. Then, risk priority number (RPN) is acquired by multiplication of these three factors and the necessary failures are improved using remedial measures. This board helps achieve this effectively and assigns an owner for the remedial action. This product was developed to not just resolve or eliminate the failures, but also to allow you to compare your improved situation with the previous state giving you an overview of the improvements made.
The FMEA board is color coded by Severity, Occurrence and Detection. Each area is graded from 1 to 10 depending on the severity. The RPN in blue is the multiplication of severity x occurrence x detection. The highest RPN will be priority nr 1 which will be tackled first.
